8 out of 10 employers plan to increase number of permanent workers (According to REC survey)

Here is a summary of a recent REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) survey on employer’s expected recruitment requirements:-

• 8 out of 10 employers plan to increase number of permanent workers in the next three months
• 4 out of 10 employers plan to increase number of agency workers
• 74% of micro businesses plan to hire permanent workers in the short term
• 71% of employers use agency workers to respond to growth
• 93% of employers say they have ‘little’ or ‘no’ capacity.
